Despite living here for nearly seven years, this was my very first time visiting Hoppipola Restaurant, as I never previously had the chance to explore it. When we walked in, the restaurant was over 90% empty with only two tables occupied, which was likely due to the weekday lull. ​We ordered a variety of dishes, but frankly speaking, the high prices charged by the restaurant just do not justify the taste of the food served. We ordered two chicken dishes, and both were disappointing; it was clear that plain, boiled chicken had simply been tossed into a pre-made sauce or gravy at the last minute rather than being cooked together. We also ordered a paneer dish expecting a specific, distinct flavor profile, but the taste we were served was incredibly generic and lacked character. ​On the positive side, the ambiance is very cozy and welcoming.
