Can't really comment on the food as I had already eaten. The Thai dish an expat was eating looked very good and he finished the lot and left giving compliments so I guess a 4. Service was 'relaxed Thai' which can be a nice from Hostess bars. It appears the bar doesn't have hostesses but there appeared to be plenty of ladies nearby happy to sit and have a chat if i were that way inclined. The boss lady had good English and kept things moving when staff got a bit too relaxed (slow to see empty). 😉🤣 As a pub in a walking st like but not as packed as Soi Cowboy I highly recommend. Best walking st I've found in Bangkok across 2 visits.

It's a no hassle Aussie bar in a very dodgy street. Small beers are 100 THB (footy condoms are a nice touch) but the meat pie (& Chips) was average - nice pastry; too much gravy and not enough beef, chips were good. Good service and with the buzzer going off every 5 minutes from across the road there's always something going on. It's Ok.

I often travel to Bangkok to watch the AFL Grand Final but this year the bar I normally watch it from has not reopened since COVID. Someone recommended I try this bar instead and boy am I glad they did. It’s a fantastic little bar down a small Soi off Sukhumvit. It is packed with large screen TV’s so you can see the game easily from any seat. The staff are fantastic, always smiling & keeping your ice cold beers freshened up. Great bar menu & the food I saw ordered looked delicious. Some interesting bars next door & across the Soi which makes it a great place to people watch. Give this bar a look if you’re ever in Bangkok if you want to watch a game or just have a quiet beer or meal.

Relaxed atmosphere, great food, good prices, pool table, sports on the TV, and a nice staff. I really enjoyed the bar. As a bonus, this street was one of the filming locations for "The Hangover 2." In the scene, the fictional bar, The White Lion, was across the street. The Down Under was visible, it just wasn't obvious what the name of it was.

I’m an Aussie that travelled to Bangkok, stumbled on the “Down Under Bar”, absolutely sensational, Susie the owner makes you feel so welcomed, The Thai food is out of this world , also they cater for Aussie food, I love Susie & this place so much, I ate there everyday & even donated my Penrith Panthers NRL jumper to the bar to be displayed.
