The cafe is lovely and quiet. Although it's located in the old Al Seef area, which is itself a beautiful landmark for walking and getting a glimpse of Dubai's past, it's a peaceful place to relax after all your sightseeing. I was impressed by their selection of coffee beans; the variety is quite extensive. Their homemade pastries and desserts also make for a more complete experience. The service staff is helpful and friendly, making this café one of the best choices despite the many others nearby. The prices are reasonable and their espresso is smooth, which is one of my own criteria for choosing or evaluating coffee.

The Roots Cafe in Al Seef is a lovely hidden gem away from the usual tourist crowds. The coffee is really good, with a great variety of coffee beans to choose from, and the cozy vibe makes it a perfect place to relax. They also offer a nice selection of desserts and pastries, plus books and board games if you’re visiting with friends. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. When we went, it wasn’t crowded at all, making our time there even more enjoyable. A great spot to unwind and spend quality time with good quality coffee.

I had such a wonderful experience at Roots Café in Al Seef. The coffee was excellent rich, smooth, and perfectly made.And the muffin was fresh, soft, and delicious, making it the perfect pairing for a relaxing coffee break. What truly made the visit special was the ambiance: cozy, calm, and aesthetically pleasing, especially with the beautiful Al Seef surroundings. It’s a great place to unwind, take photos, or simply enjoy some quiet time. Special thanks to Kerwin and Jastine.Who were both accommodating, friendly, and attentive. Their warm service made me feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of from the moment i arrived. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with great food, great coffee, and excellent customer service. Visited here on a recommendation. Ordered a few coffees and a pomegranate juice. We waited a bit and then realised the table was very wobbly, as with other ones outside. The pomegranate came out and it was American style sweet. The espresso that I ordered was okay but tasted like the shot came out a bit hot! It was nice to sit outside and watch the world go by. I am not sure I would return, however give it a go and see for yourself.

So far, one of the best coffee shops in Dubai! I actually enjoy making the trip out here — it’s become part of my morning routine: a jog, then hopping on the water taxi across for my espresso. At first, Frank might’ve been slightly annoyed at how early I show up 😬🤣 As an ex-barista, I know the machine needs time to warm up and calibrate, so I told him I don’t mind waiting — and honestly, he’s doing a fantastic job. He’s basically a one-man bar in the early hours and handles everything effortlessly. 😇🙏🏽 And the coffee? It’s genuinely excellent — clean, balanced, consistent. You can taste the care he puts into every shot. What I appreciate most is how attentive he is. He actually asks, “How was your espresso?” — and that’s the kind of intention and pride you only see in truly good baristas.
