A long standing Aberdeen favourite. Lunch today was very good. Attentive but unfussy service. Nice interior with lovely views. Food service was prompt but not rushed. 8/10 for the meal. Some was flawless luxe the smoked tuna tartar, mussels and bon bons. A couple dishes were good but slightly missed the mark. The Sticky Toffee Pudding it's self was great, but the toffee sauce was over sweet. The cookery of the Monkfish, sauce and almost all the garnish was perfect. But the sampfire bhaji was a touch too dense. Would highly recommend for a special lunch or dinner.

Would highly recommend this place! We were an hour late for our reservation because our flight from Heathrow to Aberdeen was delayed 90 minutes. The restaurant emailed us but we couldn’t respond. The manager kindly seated us in the private dining room downstairs and warned us the service may be slow since it was lunchtime. Well, the service not slow at all - she went out of her way climbing up and down the spiral staircase to check on us during our meal. Incredible food with panoramic views of the water, and at multiple times we could see dolphins popping up nearby. On a Monday evening it was a full house but the waitstaff took care of everything and we felt well attended to. Highly recommend, and get a reservation!
