Popped in for coffee with my friend . We were greeted by the delightful Clara. She was sooo lovely ,chatty and helpful with managing the machines for orders and making our visit a real pleasure . We were then served our coffee by a lovely man who we also chatted with ,as he delivered the order to our table . Both of these experiences made our visit To the cafe a more pleasurable experience .

Huge queue to order at self serve because they were only using 2! Wanted takeaway, so used one of the MANY other tills open, to be told that I needed to queue for takeaway. Stupid decision! Didn't bother and went to Cakebox instead.

I have not visited here for a year, or more. A recent style makeover has done little to improve the ambience and it was surprising to see the place half empty at midday - it was never a great cafe but always a queue around lunchtime. The onscreen ordering system is easy to use for anyone techsavey but would have been impossible for my 96 year old mum (but to be fair one of the many staff on duty would have helped). It does not bode well for those who like to order with their eyes, ie see cake, order cake!! We opted for coffee, which took as long to arrive as when we used to wait in a queue - i

We have eaten here several times and the food is absolutely never hot. It's luke warm at best. Coffee is tasty enough but often also lacks any real heat. I give the food here 3* Now, let's talk about Clara ... She's amazing!!! she kept customers calm while the self order machines were not working. Couldn't do enough to help customers, was extremely polite to coworkers, buzzed around with boundless energy, looked highly efficient, calm and had a big beaming smile on her face the whole time. She is, quite simply what should be considered a dream membership of staff. Well done Clara ... You rock!
