A perfect setting for a restaurant,with the small lake and water fountains in the grounds,a perfect walk for after your food The staff were helpful and I liked the fact your allocated a waiter/waitress to your table. The food was fantastic and well presented, the lunch menu was nicely limited in choice, but had a wide variety of dishes. The portion sizes were ample for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced it is,with the setting and style of restaurant I expected higher prices, this really is value for money. Lakeside is truly a top notch place! I have given it 5 stars because I genuinely felt like I was at a 5 star venue with 5 star service. It was a little bit disappointing that we got there after 19:30 so it just meant that we couldn’t order hot food. But we was allowed to order desert and drinks. I had a cocktail called Master Yoda, which luckily came with half a rice cake because I was hungry 😂 We had drinks and chilled lakeside “literally” then we had a nice walk around the outside of the venue. Beautiful surroundings complete with, as the name suggests, lake, fountains, listed building, wooden terrace, mood lighting and perfect landscaping. We made the most of it sitting outside at the Lakeside Terrace. Shame that the main road is so close. The food was exquisite, I would highly recommend the salmon starter, chicken main and chocolate bomb dessert. Between starter and main we were treated with a palette cleanser, today was blood orange. A beautiful picturesque place to go for a meal or just a general drink. Professional service, ample parking etc... Its the place to go after lockdown!! Make an effort to drive down Mansfield road as this place is a must see. All customers are respectful hence no drunkenness to contend with. Also they cater for weddings which I would expect provides same level of service.
