Out with girlfriends tonight in Banbury - they both live in/near Banbury, I live an hour away in Worcestershire - but have to say I'm more than happy to travel for an hour to eat at Voujon 🤗 The food is always amazing.. The staff are really welcoming and friendly.. And the atmosphere is always good.. Great food, great value. Even better value on Banquet Night - but sometimes just too much for us to finish. We go very frequently so there’s no better recommendation than that. Everything is freshly prepared so it’s easy to ask for the food to be just how you like it especially whether you like it spicy, super spicy or not. Easy parking outside too.

A flat welcome set the tone really - despite the service being good once seated. My dish Shashlik chicken was cooked well and had decent pieces of chicken but was sadly ruined by the 80’s style salad your nana would do (which I hadn’t asked for ). The other dish ordered was chicken biriyani sadly that lacked actual chicken and the dish was also presented with a salad -The naan bread was drizzled in honey that made it very messy and sticky to eat, not something I had experienced before, nor would again. A fabulous feast of food! Tuesday night is a brilliant evening to sample this fine restaurant, they have a banquet special where you can enjoy any starter, any main, a veg side dish (between 2) and either any rice or a naan for £14.99. *there are a couple of restrictions or surpluses but mostly a free choice. My partner and I enjoyed: Poppadoms and pickles (£4.50 extra for 2 each) Vegetable samosas Chicken Chaat Voujon Special Rogan Chasni Tikka Saag Aluu Plain Naan I would say it was all packed with flavour, had a slight kick to it but was not overly spicy. The table next to us asked for s
