I absolutely love Good Bear Café. I’ve been a number of times over the years, but most recently I popped in this week to meet a friend for brunch, and once again it was spot on. It has such a friendly, welcoming, genuinely local vibe, the kind of place that instantly makes you relax. But the real star here is the food. This time I had the poached eggs with mushrooms. I’ll be honest, I’m not usually a mushroom fan at all but these were absolutely delicious. So good that my friend and I both ended up ordering the same thing! Lovely Cafe, was a Saturday lunchtime when we visited so it was quite busy and quite full inside so we sat outside in a nice seating area. They had a good looking menu but we only want for coffee. Flat white was lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient with great service. Very nice cafe, definitely worth popping into if in the area.

Really tasty brunch spot on a quiet side road. They have boardgames and a good size menu. The Good Bear sourdough was particularly delicious, so definitely recommend that. My only complaint would be charging £3.45 for a pot of tea. Water must be expensive in Bath.
