Came here last Wednesday, as I was getting a bit of a break away from my wife and this little spot seemed quaint. Upon arrival I was please by the ample selection of alcoholic beverage, and the food menu was quite extensive. I was served on the bar by a very tall boy who, whilst seeming mildly disinterested, did do a very good job of getting me my order in good time. The food was, without doubt, the best I’ve ever eaten (I ordered some onion rings) and I was thrilled by the entire experience. ordered a chicken tender burger, the brioche bun it was served in was stale, the chicken and the onion rings were very over cooked, honestly the worst burger I've ever tried, did not finish it. I wonder if it was an old plate of food reheated. Will not be going back

Discovered Eagle & Ball on Gopsal St—total gem for BCU students! This 1840s-renovated pub spans 2 floors w/ cosy nooks, state-of-the-art sound system & fully stocked bar. Dropped in for lunch: their Eagle & Ball 12” pizza w/ jalapeños was gorgeously fresh, crispy base & loaded toppings—best I’ve had in Brum. Vegan options shine too, per reviews.
