My friend and I visited this place for the first time. The customer service and presentation of the food were perfect - 10/10! In addition, the cashier was really nice and polite to us. The orders included dessert (can't remember its name price £9) and two milkshakes at £4.50 each. Moreover, the food was even delivered to our car! Unfortunately, the dessert turned out to be a great letdown. Actually, the dessert consisted of cornflakes with chocolate. *LONG STORY SHORT* On my last visit, errors were made, which Peony took full accountability for and invited me to let them make the situation right. *UPDATE* The place is no doubt a 5/5 - excellent food, staff and service. The Food. We ordered another Bueno cookie dough, which was spot on once again, cannot fault it. We also ordered a hot cookie scoop with ice cream and a mango berry sundae. These two items were incredible, very unique. I personally like a hot butter cookie sweet with a little salt to it to balance the flavour, and they got that absolutely spot on. Soft serve was lovely. I order or visit at least once a month but my experience has been a bit mixed especially recently. Pros- The G style cake is worth coming back for. Brings back memories of the good old days with the Greggs chocolate cake. The flavour is fabulous and moist. The price isnt bad for the product especially for the quality. Good variety of bakes available but I usually stick to my regular or favourite items. Cons- Unfortunately, the Kunafa Brownies have really gone downhill recently. I have been ordering my daughters birthday cake and party tray bakes from Peony bakes every year since 2021 without fail. I drive down from another city every year for collection because my daughter is very funny with baked goods and Peony bakes is the only one that has been able to match her standards consistently. I send over a design and she always replicates or improves the design. Always polite and respectful communication and she already knows to book me in for my March 2027 order aha.
