The food was a huge letdown. The sauce was extremely salty so much so that I had to keep drinking water just to get through a few bites. Eventually, I had to stop eating entirely because it was simply overwhelming. The fried chicken was also very tough and dry, and the sauce pairing just didn't work at all. Overall, a very poor culinary experience. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Quick pop in to get couple of bubble teas for the boys. They had happy hour offer going on and tried the lychee and pearl milk which were both nice. Shop was a bit out dated though and could do with modernising .

I am a regular at rice express: the staff are always very friendly, the food is always flavourful, well presented, and orders are served quite quickly! There are plenty of halal options for muslims looking for a nice japanese restaurant. It's usually a quiet place, which is good for introverts! There is plenty of variety between sushi, ramen, bento boxes, gyoza, chicken and tempura! If you don't like something, there's always other varieties and options. They also offer a variety of bubble tea to have along with your dishes.

Great stop off for lunch in Birmingham city centre. We went for chicken katsu ramen with a side order of chicken wings. Huge portions, great value for money and all very tasty!
