Went for lunch, it was quiet , no other customers were there except us, staff were friendly but it was more like a self service restaurant, so I could not comment on their service cos there was simply none 😅, food was okay, I had cod goujons wrap with chips, taste was average, when ordered food we were told there was no fish & chips, which was originally our first choice of food. Despite the restaurant wasn’t busy, it took quite a while (15-20mins) for the food to come, the overall dining experience was just okay to average. Maybe it would be nicer if you only come for a drink in the evening

Good food and ambience… great friendly service. Relatively good value too, which is important in this current climate. Had the burgers and nachos here, both of which are good… and importantly fresh. Big selection of drinks and beers on tap too. Now my goto pub in the town as a good step up from all those around it.

Really good quality place top to toe. Staff beyond lovely and good was great and hospitality 5 star I highly recommend. Took my mum n dad n nan for lunch . Truly would be happy to return. Also very dog friendly which I personally love more than anything.

We visited the Dogs Head (as we have on many occasions) on 30th of December. I was told upon ordering food that it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait. After 50 minutes, I asked the same server as before how much longer it would be, I was told 10 minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes I asked again. I was told ours was being cooked and would be another 5 to 10 minutes. After watching a larger group complain and threaten to request a refund, their food magically appeared. They ordered after us. Low and behold after another 20 minute wait I asked again and was told that ours was next to be cooked
