The grounds are absolutely beautiful, credit where credit is due. However, with the exception of a lovely lady at reception, the service experienced by both of us throughout with senior members of staff was below par and respectively rude at times. Positive attitude and service with a smile goes a long way and basic customer service would drastically better people’s experience.

The perfect spot to enjoy a classic afternoon tea. We sat outside on the terrace looking out over the expansive lawns. Our table was pre-prepared and the gluten-free requirements of our guests from the USA had been noted and taken care of. The food and service were impeccable and the price very fair. Been a gym member here for a while. Stunning property with a lot of history and great character. Never stayed but popped in for dinner and coffee a few times and it’s always been a nice visit. Never too busy, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Would recommend.
