I’ve been living in the community for more than 10 years but only recently discovered this little gem (I found out it’s been there for over a year). I’ve had 3 of the original meals (honey glazed, sticky soy & sweet & spicy) and always get a side of coleslaw & chips. The meals are generous enough to satisfy the hunger of two people. The packaging was good, and the food arrived partially warm. The burger was decent. However, the chicken — specifically the portioned chicken pieces outside the burger — wasn’t great. Some pieces seemed undercooked on the inside and were quite tough, almost impossible to chew. Because of that, I couldn’t fully enjoy it. Maybe I could say that the Korean BBQ style just isn’t for me, but chicken is a universal item — and I simply didn’t like the portioned chicken here. The chicken inside the burger was better, but overall, I don’t think I would choose this place again.

I remember when this branch was still Kokodoo, so I was a bit skeptical when it rebranded to Chanko’s. I honestly expected the quality to dip after the change, as that sometimes happens with rebranding. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all. The food actually exceeded my expectations. The flavors were even better than I remembered, everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. In fact, I’d say this location now outperforms other Kokodoo branches I’ve visited. Definitely worth the visit!
