Excellent Brockley spot, the sort of place the reminds is why we love SE4. Slightly off the beaten track, we were passing by and stopped for a coffee one morning, loved the atmosphere and the look of the food and came back the next day for a delicious brunch. On the strength of that, booked a dinner slot on the following Friday (dinner service Thursday/Fridays only at the moment but I wouldn’t be surprised if they add to that soon). Cool interior design, friendly staff, lively but easy to talk. Food so good it made us just sit and grin at each other. Delicious cocktails.

I’ve been to Good As Gold twice now and it’s been amazing both times. I ordered the Shatta eggs and a matcha on both visits and they were incredible, full of flavour and perfectly done. The Shatta eggs are easily one of the best brunch dishes I’ve had in London. The cafe has such a great atmosphere as well, with really friendly service and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay for a while. Everything felt really high quality and thoughtfully put together. I’ll definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a standout brunch spot.
