Had a lovely experience at the Riverside. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything was served fresh. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere, and the riverside location makes it an even nicer place to enjoy a meal. Great service, great food, and excellent value for money. The overall design and decor of the restaurant is lovely, however the service and food were disappointing. We had a roast dinner and found that the potatoes were chewy, stuffing was rock hard, Yorkshire pudding was dry and none of it tasted fresh (including the cabbage). Considering the price, I would have expected a higher standard of freshness and quality. As for the service, it was slow and got to the point where we had to get up and go to the till to pay - after waiting 30 minutes. We will not be returning to dine here, however the garden looks nice for just drinks in the summer.

Great hotel for a decent price. Rooms well decorated, decent size and the bed was love. Bathroom sparkling clean, great shower and the water blasted you awake. Restaurant had a wide choice, even for us veggies, and was delicious and again at a decent price. And the staff were smiley and friendly, I haven't been called Duck so many times for such a long time.
