ITP★★This would have been a great review for Salt but unfortunately for us they failed on some really basic and fundamental points that let themselves down. All the way through we let things pass, but the end was what prompted this review. The first waitress was very rushed with us on every interaction, not taking time to listen, or properly articulate herself. She was polite, but not particularly warm or interested. Dan★★★★★Had a really great lunch at Salt Steakhouse. I ordered the ribeye steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly... very tasty, flavourful, and delicious. It came with baguette slices, a salad, and fries. Everything paired really well together. Both dishes in the picture (steak/salmon) were £20.95, which felt like good value for the quality and portion sizes. The outdoor seating was clean, comfortable, and especially nice for a sunny summer day. Overall, great food, good atmosphere and service, and definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area!
Sai★★★The service was really good. The steak wasn't great, had the special and the 30 day aged. The 30 day was better but still not great. The bread and salad with the steaks are poor. Just called plain baguette bread. This could easily be enhanced by just roasting and adding some garlic and butter. The salad tasted like it was from a packet with some salad dressing. The service however, is really good and made the overall experience good. Just the food needs work.
Rosa★★★★My 4th visit to Salt Steakhouse which should hopefully tell you this is a fantastic place to go. The food is excellent, cooked exactly how requested. However, on all 4 visits there was one recurring issue. The service is too fast. Normally this is not an issue but here it becomes one as it is too much. We spent exactly 58 minutes in the restaurant and had 2 courses. Between our first and second courses there was only a 2 minute gap. This is then made worse by a service charge which is added to your bill which brings an already pricey meal to an even higher one that does not necessarily equate
