I had such a beautiful stay at No.131. I originally booked it because I wanted somewhere inspiring to spend a few days writing my book, and it was absolutely the right choice. The hotel is stunning. Every detail feels thoughtfully finished and perfectly considered. I ended up spending a lot of time in my room, which was gorgeous and genuinely sparked my creativity. The bathtub was pure luxury. There is something about soaking there that feels wonderfully old English and indulgent. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming throughout my stay. As a solo traveller, I felt completely at ease

Felt a little odd sat outside under a marquee and when we were told on booking I nearly cancelled. However it's really well done and was plenty warm enough. Food was lovely, the beef wellington was perfectly cooked and continued to cook on the plate (for those thinking it was too rare!). A bit of a walk to the loos and upstairs for those who can't walk very far! Cocktail bar also highly recommended too.
