What is hard about cooking a large fish and a small fish? 1st visit and was looking forward to a fish and chips tea since last night. Visited today Friday 24th April @ 16:30 When we arrived back at our caravan and sat down to eat we have 2 regular chips, 1 small fish, a large curry and a small peas, no sign of the large fish which my wife ordered 1st when she popped in for our tea. Will not be returning as the chips and fish was cr@p. Batter was like slop. Curry sauce and mushy peas was good.

This place is the place for good value for money. Quality isn't bad and portion sizes are okay. The fellow running the place is friendly too. I had a regular fish and chips for £6.40 and the next day came back from a chicken curry and rice for £4. Super pleased with these deals and can't complain about the food or service either. There's free parking just opposite, which is easy to miss.

We came from Coventry to Sheffield for an auction. On our way back, we came across Phil’s. It was the most delicious fish I’ve ever eaten in my life. My husband is already trying to find an excuse to come back here just to have the fish & chips again. Even if we can’t find an excuse, we will definitely come back. Everything was so delicious.
