Superb Sunday lunch - Scalops, though small, were perfectly cooked. Loads of tender roast beef and all the trimmings. Not a fan of Mozzarella cauliflower cheese (prefer cheddar). HUGE slice of Tiramisu. Drawback of semi-accessible table downstairs is that there is reliance on staff seeing you waving at the camera in the corner for service and waiting ages for bill etc. 10% Service automatically added to every bill, whatever size.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and food here, it feels warm and homely. The servers were kind and welcoming, and the food was good and just slightly over salted. The one small complaint we had was that the food did take a fairly decent amount of time to get to us even though the restaurant was practically empty.

The food was nice and overall enjoyable, and the service was good — the staff member we dealt with was polite and clearly trying their best. However, there was only ONE member of staff on shift, which meant things felt STRETCHED and not as attentive as they could have been. We were also disappointed to find that the upstairs seating area was CLOSED and doesn’t open until 4:30pm. This wasn’t mentioned on the WEBSITE or when we booked, which was frustrating and MISLEADING. I recently visited The Artisan with a friend for Sunday lunch, and we had a really enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself is very stylish, with a great atmosphere that made for a relaxing and pleasant meal. We both ordered the chicken breast as our main course, and the food was absolutely lovely well-prepared and full of flavour. The overall quality of the meal certainly met our expectations.
