During my visit to the UK, I had the pleasure of dining at the Golden Cross in Coventry, and I’m so glad I found this gem. I ordered the traditional bangers and mash, and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked sausages, creamy mash, and rich gravy that tied everything together beautifully. It was exactly the comforting British meal I was hoping for. The cider was excellent as well, refreshing and full of flavour, a perfect pairing with the meal. Lovely food, and staff and menu are amazing with allergies, I could eat anything on the menu safely (I’m coeliac) and not feel like the I’m odd one out or an inconvenience. Have been here a few times now and will keep coming, very happy!

Absolutely amazing food! As a celiac it gets frustrating trying to find gluten free alternatives. But eating at The Golden Cross where everything is gluten free was incredible! Even my friend who doesn't need to eat gluten free enjoyed it. Will definitely be visiting again when next in Coventry!
