We visited The Nook in Dover on Friday and had the most incredible evening. We were overjoyed to be seated in the courtyard, such a beautiful, whimsical atmosphere with greenery, warm lighting and an outdoor kitchen. You can even smell the smokers while dining, which really adds to the whole experience. We started with the olives, which were delicious. A great selection, beautifully seasoned and the cowboy hat sticks were a fun touch. For mains, we couldn’t resist the Pitmaster platter for two and wow, absolutely insane. Came for breakfast on a wet and miserable Friday morning. We had a Dirty Chai Latte and a Caramel Latte and ordered waffles with bacon, scrambled eggs and maple syrup and the kids pancakes and bacon and maple syrup with added scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious. The service was decent and friendly and the venue is lovely. Bill came to around £30 in total.

I popped into Wellington’s Café today and honestly couldn’t believe how generous the portion sizes were — you definitely get your money’s worth! The staff were so attentive from the moment I walked in, really welcoming and on the ball with everything. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the coffee… absolutely spot on. Rich, smooth and one of the nicest cups I’ve had in ages. Highly recommend Wellington’s if you’re after great food, great service and a proper tasty coffee!
