Lovely service and atmosphere in the restaurant. But arguably some of the worst Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. If you’re South Asian and have a high standard for Indian food DO NOT eat here. Starters were frozen and the food is full of colouring. But if you’re looking for an Indian and don’t have such high standards for Indian food, then this is a great option for you.

Very busy and lively. I ordered a hot chicken curry and my wife a mild lamb curry. We thought they had given us the wrong ones because mine had lamb and hers chicken but they both tasted the same - not hot enough for me and too hot for her. Why offer such a lovely varied menu if all the dishes taste the same?

We had a wonderful experience at The India Palm. I have dietary restrictions due to celiac disease, which means I cannot consume gluten at all. While on a short family break near Dumfries, we were looking for halal and gluten-free options that would be safe for me. We visited the restaurant, and after asking a few questions, our server provided us with all the necessary details and reassured us about which dishes were safe to eat. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic.
