These guys are great — really polite and the portions are generous. I was driving past and decided to give it a try. The lamb doner was tasty, with fresh salad and proper homemade chilli sauce. I’ve been coming to Mr Chips for years now and honestly it’s hands down the best chip shop in the area. Every time I go, the service is friendly, quick and you’re always made to feel welcome — you can tell they really care about their customers. I remember popping in after a long day expecting just something quick, and it completely made my evening. The food was fresh, hot and such good quality, especially for the price — it’s amazing value for money. You really get a lot for what you pay for. Great place been going here for years, for me its all about there kebab I tell you what unlike most places these days where they add the lamb donner meat to a stale pitta bread like its gold dust, adding 1 strip at a time allowing the ability to fold and add volume to make it appear your getting loads Not at Mr Chips these guys grab there tongues and use them like those claw cranes at metal recycling yards, grab as much as they can then offload it on the pitta and in the pitta then go back for more meat As someone who just has meat and chilli sauce By.time hes finished my donner its bursting o

First off I read somewhere that they cook in Lard/Dripping, they don't, it is in seed oil, but that is the only fault, although prices have gone up, one does get Hugh portion sizes, and unlike other chip shops where the fish looks half the size, the Fish here is a very good portion, and even a small chips is large, like others have said, it is one of best. I would have gave five stars if they had cooked in Dripping/Lard.
