I dropped by the restaurant on June 11th because I wanted to try haggis. I hadn't made a reservation, but the waiter was very friendly. I ordered the traditional haggis and a peach Howie's Cider. I didn't have to wait long for my order to arrive. The haggis was delicious, and the cider was refreshing. All the staff I met were friendly. They also asked us about our experience, which was a nice touch. There was free Wi-Fi, and everything was clean. To sum up, I would recommend this restaurant and thank them for the wonderful experience :)

I had an absolutely wonderful lunch experience in Edinburgh. The terrace seating had a beautiful view and the weather could not have been more perfect. I tried the Cullen Skink along with the haggis, neeps and tatties, and both dishes absolutely delivered. After a little hiccup at the start by being missed by my server, I had a great experience. I understand that service was very busy for the staff, so these things happen. I was dining alone so I was easy to miss. My server was very apologetic for the mistake and he took care of my appetizer for me, which was very generous. The venison casserole was lovely and rich, with big chunks of meat and perfectly cooked beets (still having a nice firm bite to them). The chorizo with cucumber crème fraîche was very good.

Super cosy, friendly staff, and lovely food. The only thing is that the Scottish breakfast is a little small for the price. Maybe two eggs or two strips of bacon would make it feel more worth the price. But both dishes we had tasted delicious! Our server (can’t remember her name) was delightful! What a lovely lady.
