I went to Edinburgh for a quick business trip and managed to squeeze in a short lunch break between meetings. I wanted to try a Cullen skink before leaving, and this pub nearby was recommended and it did not disappoint. The place has a cosy feel with its white walls and chilled, friendly staff. I was out late at night and randomly wandered into this spot on a whim. What a fantastic whim. I ordered the fish board, and it was hands-down the freshest and most delicious one I’ve ever had. Perfectly prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was friendly and effortless, making the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The decor is warm and inviting too. Came here looking for somewhere to eat before Christmas, and they were open on the 23rd. This place sets the bar for pub food as we have eaten in a few other pubs across Edinburgh and Dublin and were largely unimpressed, but Teuchters is very impressive! It was very easy to get seated (speak to a bartender), and we were led downstairs where we could order food and drink. Very cozy vibe with the main bar upstairs and dining area downstairs.
