Went to South Beach Cafe for breakfast at 10:30am only to find out they were closed and didn’t open until 11:00am. Once they did open, we were told food orders couldn’t be taken until 11:30am, which meant there was no breakfast menu available — only the lunch menu consisting mainly of ciabattas. There were only a few options, but I decided to try the steak ciabatta with peppercorn sauce, onions, and cheese. After quite a long wait, the food finally arrived and it was very disappointing. We had lunch here on a Tuesday while staying at Devon Cliffs, and we'd made a reservation but the place was pretty much empty during our stay. We got the seafood platter to share and it was all simple flavours but a delicious meal. Great value for 2 people as some of the other mains cost almost as much per person. The staff are nice but possibly due to how empty it was there was a lot of cleaning happening around us, not the best for trying to relax over some food 😅 overall it's a pleasant place to visit right by the beach with great views

Very nice place to eat with a delicious food. Definitely worth every penny. Our waiter Jack has been excellent throughout our visit. We were asking if the service charge was included and been told that it isn't. We really wanted to tip Jack but he said they are allowed cash only and if it's on the card is a bit more complicated. In our days majority of us doesn't carry cash 🙄 We felt really bad leaving without tipping as he was lovely.

The bar has great views. The menu is pub quality but has variety. The seagulls will have you for dinner though hence why they don’t serve food outside. It always looks messy and untidy during busy times but the quality of food is ok and the ice cream is great.
