I had a meal here before going to a gig with my daughter. The food was absolutely excellent. Guinness steak pie with chips for me and haddock & chips for my daughter. Both excellent. The steak pie was the best I've had in a pub. The gravy was delicious and the beef was done to perfection. The Guinness was good with a great range of draught and bottled beers. The staff were brilliant.

This pub has the best customer service I have ever experienced. As soon as we entered we were treated like royalty. All of the staff couldn’t be more friendly if they tried, especially the barmaid with tattoos. I have never felt so welcome in a public house in my life. We ordered a couple drinks and another drink for my mate. We were told very warmly that we were always welcome and can stay as long as we like. With the staff’s lovely manner we were told we could stay as long as we like. I will always come back here.

Great pub sadly let down by the awful food. I had veggie sausage and colcannan. The sausage was tough and almost certainly yesterday’s re-heated. There was hardly any colcannan supplemented by a very salty gravy. The ‘halloumi’ was very greasy and almost certainly fried in too cool oil and accompanied by a tasteless jam.
