Fish and chips worth hoisting a sail for If you are wandering around Gloucester Docks with a hunger that could topple a lighthouse, The Tall Ship is the place to drop anchor. The fish arrived golden, crisp and beautifully light, with chips thick enough to satisfy even a fisherman fresh off the tide. Mushy peas were vibrant and tasty, the proper classic kind, no nonsense. I've been here a few times so far and the food is amazing. They serve lobster/crab and plenty of other dishes if you're not keen on seafood. The food is really fresh and served to a high standard and there's a good selection of drinks too. It's never been too busy either. The pub doesn't look like anything special but it's in a good location and the food/drinks make up for it. There's also an outdoor area.

We felt we were warmly welcomed by the staff who were plight and helpful. They had a good list on the special board and an amazing every day menu. The Tall Ship was well decorated and clean. The food was all freshly prepared and was nicely presented. We only went as it was my birthday and we were visiting the area but we will definitely be back to try more amazing food
