I’ve had mixed experience of the food at Anupam in the past. Having returned after a few years, I’m pleased to say, it is back on my good list. The food was amazing and the servers were ever so friendly and good-humoured. We had the special korma, lamb bhuna, garlic naan and chutneys - all delicious.

What an underwhelming experience. There must not be a lot of choice in Malvern for the reviews to be high. The food was average at best. Considering you pay £27 for a small scoop of plain rice, a bottle of beer and what I can only describe as a spicier butter chicken at best. It barely touches the sides and was less enjoyable than one of those night in for 2 meals you get from the supermarket.

I eat a lot of Indian meals, with taste and quality varying quite a bit. But this was probably the best Indian I have ever had! As a starter I ordered Tandoori Chicken: Very attractive presentation and just the right meat size. Succulent inside, with perfect Tandoori flavours on the outside. One cannot do any better than this! For the mains, Chicken Vindaloo: I do like my curries hot, but depending on the restaurant, it is sometimes not spicy enough, whereas at other times you feel like the inside of your mouth is burning, so that you're unable to actually feel the taste. My friend and I were looking forward to a takeaway, and Anupam has a good reputation, but the food we got was badly presented and bland. Seemed like very little care went into the preparation. Disappointed.
