Former King and Barnes pub which still has their sign outside; now a Hall and Woodhouse pub serving their Badger beers. The atmosphere was that of a lively local with most of the people there knowing one another. The beers were well kept. No food was available, at least on the day we visited.

Been a really great advocate of this pub for so long but had 2 recent crap experiences in this pub. I always buy the oldest person in a pub a drink when i go in and saw a little old lady walk in with a zimmerframe so i offered to buy her drink. The lady said shed have her usual so the barmaid reached for some white wine and the lady said i dont drink that and the barmaid said yes you do! She the poured the biggest glass of wine i have ever seen which literally finished the bottle. Even the old lady was like are you sure. She then charged me 18 quid for her drink! Dont know what that was about

Came here a couple of days ago and a friend paid for the jukebox to play music. We soon realised the jukebox “wasn’t working”, even though it was still on and taking payments, and the music was being played through an ipad at the bar. We spoke to the guy at the bar and he allowed us to queue the music we wanted to play, which was really nice of him, but then his manager who was there drinking with her friends kept skipping all our songs even after he told her we had paid for the jukebox basically saying she didn’t care, as she wanted her and her friends songs on. No songs of ours were played a
