This is a very lovely pub. The staff was very welcoming, quick at cleaning tables and very friendly. The food was amazing. We had the Ale Pie, Fish n Chips, nacho platter and the chicken. All was very very good! 😁🙏

Had high hopes but what a terrible experience. Staff were rude and oblivious we booked in the pub as it was downstairs were argued with that we didn't because we hadn't filled out a special request. The Scotch eggs was amazing but the Venison Carbonad was a joke very little meat, overcooked carrots with the stubborn end left on, drowning in sauce that overwhelmed the tiny piece of venison. The mac and cheese had no flavour other than the vintage cheddar and wasn't browned enough on top and the bacon was a long skinny fatty piece. When the food arrived it was pretty much dumped on the table.

I had such a great experience here. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly made and full of flavour. The atmosphere was warm, cosy and full of character, making it a perfect spot whether you are popping in for a quick drink or sitting down for a meal. What really stood out was the exceptionally friendly service. Everyone was welcoming, but a special mention goes to Geraldine behind the counter. She was amazing, so polite, cheerful and genuinely attentive. She made us feel right at home and added a lovely personal touch to our visit. It is not often you find a pub that gets everything rig

For our last meal overseas and in London, this was nice. You can order through a app or like me you can go up to the bar and order. Light music fills the mostly quiet and pleasant atmosphere. I got the chicken hamburger which was really spicy for my liking but the food was good is good, fast service and overall good. Perhaps a bit pricey but I liked the food.
