I visited the Burnt Pig 1st April 2026 for the first time with on old friend, we had a great time in the Ale Ouse. This place is a one off. It has a very quirky and nice decor. It is like walking down memory lane of Ilkeston and surrounding area. They have a fine selection of ales, ciders and wines. The staff are very friendly, helpful and also professional. It will certainly be going back again. They also have a fridge and sell a selection of pies and cheeses.

Whatever great things you have read about this pub ARE ALL true ! Once inside you're impressed by the friendly welcome by the bar staff and the array of different beers on offer. The locals are very welcoming and this admittedly quite small pub gets very busy very quickly. It's amazing what can be achieved in 3 small rooms! Quirky but traditional decor add to the atmosphere. If you are on the lookout for a friendly micropub then this ticks all the boxes. Check it out . M P.S, the Pork Pies are divine !

Got to be up there amongst the best pubs around. Pure quality from the ales (I had Pheasantry Pale) to the food (cheeses & pies) and the decor with all the pub paraphernalia. Top class atmosphere from the regulars and staff working here. Sorry I had to move on.

Excellent pub, we are new to the area, felt welcome and comfortable here on our visits, lovely people. The pork pies are fantastic and the selection of drinks is great.
