We recently visited for an early lunch, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and cozy, perfect for a laid-back midday meal. The meals were truly tasty and well made. I tried the salmon bibimbap with perfectly cooked salmon that melted in my mouth, combined with crisp vegetables and just the right balance of seasoning.The salmon bibimbap was fresh and vibrant. Was there to see a show at the corn Exchange and was early so decided to get something to eat. Was turned away from most places as unbeknownst to us the football was taking place and about to turn out. Takayama staff were delightful and managed to find space for us( under the proviso we could leave within an hour or so,which we readily agreed to. )Absolutely lovely staff, very good service, nice tasty food. Please go - it’s a nice experience which frankly doesn’t happen that often, we were made to feel welcome. Also good prices. Thank you Takayama.

Lovely place, professional service, great food. 10/10. Attend here for the first time with 4 friends, all enjoyed the experience. The only negative is that there were no drinks on tap. If you have a bar (which they do) some kind of draught alcohol would be good, rather than paying 100% markup on cans/bottles.

Absolutely lovely restaurant with a nice authentic atmosphere and fantastic decor inside. Roomy with more tables on the 1st floor. Food was heavenly and beautifully presented. Really, really tasty. Service was exceptional, polite and friendly. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Definitely worth a visit. We will be coming back soon. Also the Japanese whisky is one of the best ones I've tried.
