Aquila is literally the most awesome pizza place for Miles. The dough and the sauce are 2nd to none! We wouldn't get pizza from anywhere else, it's such friendly service and good value. The garlic bread with cheese is literally to die for.

Went on a Monday early so it was quiet, but the food was spot in. Pizza had a light airy crust and the tomato sauce tasted like tomato and not sugar with the toppings adding a nice accent. Got some olives, a caprese salad, and a Napoli Salmi pizza. Would recommend.

We stayed at The Royal Hotel and Bar where you can order pizza delivered to the bar from Aquila so of course being massive pizza addicts we did. As vegans we ordered the Marinara (nowhere to hide with this pizza it's all about the base and tomato sauce) and a veggie with no cheese but extra chillies. OMG these are one of the best pizzas we've eaten and that includes in Naples. The base is divine, it's soft, pillowy and stretchy and you want more when you've finished. Some of the best Neapolitan pizza we’ve ever had. Garlic aoli tastes fresh and is super garlicky - just how I like it. Tiramisu is unreal. The lovely fella who served us was really friendly. Only criticism I would have is that the pizzas themselves are messy and not easy to eat with hands. We managed to get a seat in the pizzeria so we ate ours with a knife and fork! Overall, we wish we were closer to Lancaster because this would be a frequent spot for us if so!
