I recently tried Filipino food at Kapihan in Battersea and really enjoyed it. The pandesal was soft, pillowy, and flavourful really satisfying and filling. The drinks were also a highlight the iced calamansi and banilya were sweet, tangy, and refreshing, and something a bit different from the usual café options. I also tried the cute turtle-shaped bread with cheese, which was delicious and great value. Overall, the food was affordable, and the service was warm and friendly throughout.

Absolutely perfect spot for pastries and coffee with friendly staff. Their ube cheese bomba is one of the best pastries I’ve had, made with homemade guava jam. Can get quite busy and space is small, but definitely worth it.

After years, I have managed to dine at Kapihan! :) My friends was so thoughtful and we visited this cafe after his park run. I went long time ago but every pastry was sold out. So today we were early. We had bibingka, chocolate bibingka and spicy bibingka. Did a takeaway too. :) D'Original Bibingka - a rice cake baked in a banana leaf with a chewy texture, sprinkled with sugar and coconut. Chocolate Churro Bibingka - had the same base with dark chocolate chips and cinnamon sugar - i love that it was balanced, not too sweet and not super bitter. Spicy Mushroom and Queso Bibingka - same origi
