We visited Sous Le Nez in Leeds to celebrate our anniversary and had a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is currently offering an excellent value set menu – three courses plus a bottle of wine for just £49.50 per person. Given the quality of the food and service, it represents outstanding value. To start, we both chose the French Onion Soup, which was one of the best we have tasted. Rich, full of flavour and perfectly prepared, it set the tone for the rest of the meal. A fantastic meal, first class flavour combinations and excellent cooking. What a gem of a restaurant, classic French dishes are the staple accompanied by an extensive wine list. If you are looking for high-quality restaurant food then go and try the dishes here. Atmosphere was a busy hubbub, allowing for private conversation at tables, which were all relatively well spaced.

Valentines Day lunch - because the evening service was fully booked (a very good sign). The Maître D was an extremely pleasant/professional fellow. I observed that the remaining waiting staff were late teens/early twenties which was nice to see at a time when youth unemployment is at an all time high. Highly-trained and highly efficient. A joy to see. And the food was of an excellent standard. I thoroughly enjoyed my Venison/Haggis Wellington. An adventurous choice for me but delicious. A delightful and romantic afternoon. Highly recommend and will be back.
