My husband and I have just had one of the best Xmas Menu lunches. The service was excellent, thank you Craig. The prawn cocktail starter was delicious, packed with prawns. My husband had the Camembert starter and he thoroughly enjoyed it. My roast turkey main course was yummy, lots of delicious meat which was moist and plenty of veg. My husband had the beef short rib and he was raving about it. £26 for 2 courses! Unbelievable value. I would definitely recommend and have recommended to friends already

Great bottle of montepulciano. Some honest, real service from lovely Gent, assume was the manager. Great freshly made burger patties. Not fresh frozen junk you usually get. Was unusual from Maidstone town centre. Well played for a pub in town.

We had a buffet lunch at the Herbalist to celebrate our colleague’s baby shower. The staff were friendly and accommodating, happy for us to move tables when the air con failed and supplying takeaway boxes for the left over food. The food was so good and there was so much of it. We had mini fish and piles of chips, beef in Yorkshires, salad, sausages, pizza, mini burgers, chicken wings, cheese and biscuits, scones. It just kept coming! Really impressed, we’ll be back!

We went here for lunch today, because we had our little dog with us, we had to sit in the bar, now I don't mind that, but, if there's no wall or screen in between, I don't get the difference, rules are rules and all that, but what I did find strange, is that you order at the bar, pay for the food, we ordered starters and mains, and then told that all food would come out at the same time 🤔, not exactly sure why 🤷‍♂️, my wife had the squid, which was gorgeous and generous sized portion, I went with the red prawns and chimichuri, which i wasn't keen on, but ate, the prawns were quite over cooke
