We came here on bank holiday Monday while the motorbike parade was on. Bearing in mind this is an almost 30 degree day. It was very busy around so we chose this place as it was quiet. I am coeliac and asked if they had gluten free options and they proceeded to say yes we have gluten free bread for paninis. When we sat down we ordered, and I asked for a gluten free panini. They then proceeded to come back over to our table and tell me they couldn’t do gluten free as the kitchen was “too busy” bearing in mind they only had about 10 tables sitting down. Why did I not read reviews before entering… My husband, my 2yo son and myself arrived for lunch. We came with a buggy that can be folded. We were advised there is no space for us even though I had advised that we could fold the buggy. Then, I have insisted (why did I!) and they offer us a high table near the bar with 3 adult highchairs… one table nearby with a buggy did offer us their seat as they were leaving but no, the owner did not accept it. And their table was then empty the whole time we stayed there! Thats really a shame… So we sat and ordered food. Waited quite a bit for average food.

This is a gem of a place. Freshly cooked food and wide range on the menu. Particular favourites are the fish cakes, Mediterranean quiche and the homemade burgers. From the breakfast menu the smoked salmon and eggs are beautiful. Service is good and coffee fab.
