Good choice on the menu, but we knew what we wanted in a large cod and chips and that's what we got. Not wrong that it was a large portion either and both chips and fish tasted excellent, plus kept their heat as we travelled back to our cottage on melton spinney road 10 mins away from melton mowbray. Friendly and efficient service too.

Made an order over the phone for two kebabs, and a side of homemade chilli sauce. We were sent curry sauce, not chilli sauce. We called up to ask if they could send out a chilli sauce and a fresh kebab for my partner, as the one we received for him would have gone cold by the time the chilli sauce arrived. The guy responded confused and stated that he definitely put chilli sauce in, not curry sauce. We corrected him, that it was curry sauce. Waited over 25 minutes after i was served for a mini fish and chips. No communication between them. One mini went in 20 minutes later 2 more. Definitely gone down hill. The guy frying just seemed rude and kept looking over. The batter wasn't even crispy! Not worth the wait. Others seemed to be getting there orders quickly one lady complained as she was waiting over 20 minutes too.

What is the point in having opening times if you don’t even stick to them? Saturday 22:00I turned up for the shop to be shut when it says it’s opened until 22:30. Ordering for delivery an hour before it shuts and my order gets declined. Don’t you want business or what? It’s such a shame because you are the best chippy in melton. Would rather go somewhere else now that actually served food lol
