The Tickled Trout has quickly become one of my favourite places to go in Newport city centre. It’s independent, locally owned, and just feels like a place that genuinely cares about what it’s doing. From the décor to the food, everything has clearly been thought through, and you notice the little details straight away. The drinks selection is great, and the taps menu has loads of choice. The food really impressed us though. The chicken wings with buffalo and blue cheese sauce were spot on, full of flavour without being over the top. I went to The Tickled Trout in the late afternoon for some food and drinks after work, and I had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the salt and lemon squid, the gyozas, and the chicken karaage. Each of the dishes was delicious, beautifully presented, and well-portioned. Without doubt the best bottomless brunch we have had. The food was amazing.Generous portions and absolutely delicious. Wonderful atmosphere and the staff are attentive.
