Friendly staff and very attentive to customers which is great. Food-wise, good but not amazing. The fish batter was a tad over done and the fish was a tad under-done. The chips were nice but there were one too many black ones among the mix. Over all not too bad but room for improvement.

A Proper Traditional Fish & Chips Experience! I visited Paignton on the Friday 24th of October and came across this lovely fish and chip shop by chance — and I’m so glad I did called the Ocean Wild Fish Bar ! I tried the chips, and they were absolutely delicious — they reminded me of how fish and chips used to taste years ago when they were traditionally cooked in beef fat. The chips had a lovely crunch, a distinct flavour, and weren’t greasy at all. It was the first time in a long while that I’ve enjoyed chips without feeling heavy or bloated afterwards. Ordered through the website which was very straight forward. Food was great and the owner very pleasant and smiling. Unfortunately the girls serving weren't very welcoming. All looked miserable and not a smile between them.when the food was ready, my name was called, the bag placed on the counter and no eye contact or fairwell given.

Visiting Paignton, googled local fish and chips and this one looked nice. We came back to our holiday park so eat. All chips were stuck to the paper, so spent 10 mins picking off paper. Chips were covered in black bits almost like the the oil hasn’t been changed in a long time. Fish had small bones in and the batter was soggy and again black bits all over it. Halloumi fries were covered in black bits and over cooked. Really sad experience here. It’s a shame when someone is on holiday. Spends their hard earned money and the food is rubbish.
