Had fish & chips from here a few weeks ago for the first time & they were absolutely delicious! In fact it was one of the best fish I have had. I had a lightly battered, well done fish and it was so succulent and delicious! Everything was made fresh and was piping hot too. The shop was immaculate and the staff were very friendly indeed. They even have a rewards card!

Having read and heard so much about The Bearded Sailor, I had to visit. The shop was tidy, the staff were friendly, and the information on the wall informed me about the potatoes being used that day and where the fish had been caught. The emphasis on sustainability was appreciated. I spotted a mound of delicious-looking scraps. I enjoy mixing scraps with mushy peas or curry, so I ordered a portion, which was free.
