We went here for lunch. It’s a quintessential English pub with decent pub food (fish & chips, burgers, etc) at good price, making this a very good value for money. They have pub games (like shuffle board) board games. The service is great, always attentive and friendly. Great beer list too - even Belgian beers are available.

Another pub that i stumbled across, and is tied to Greene King. The choice of beers, ciders and lager provides something for all discerning drinkers. I did order food, with the chicken and ham hawk pie, mash and peas hitting the spot. I always find the staff, attentive and willing to go the extra mile.

Thank you so much for accommodating us. We met friends, visiting from Ireland here last Saturday. There were 10 of us, mixed adults and teens, we'd not seen each other for several months and this was the perfect place to meet! We didn't even take one photograph because we were all so busy having a good time. The kids and Dad's played pool and Shufl downstairs and the Mum's had a good old natter and glass of wine or three!! Very nice spot. Significantly quiter compare to other pubs and thats the best feature, because you can relax and talk with your firends without shouting. Also the environment is very cozy and nicely decorated. Staff are accomodative and on the friendly side. Lastly there is pool and darts on the lower ground floor!
