Stepping out of the rain for a coffee on a Friday afternoon, I thought I’d try Cafe Nero. I ordered a cortado with coconut milk to drink and marveled at their selection of gorgeous looking cakes in the glass cabinet. I asked about gluten-free cakes and was told the choice was a couple of Deliciously Ella bars or Cafe Nero’s own flapjack. The cakes from the cabinet are sadly not for me, so I went with the flapjack! The coffee was delicious and full to the brim, so much so that I spilled it (my fault). Ok coffee nice, Could do with a good cleaning company to sort this place out. Been sat here for an hour an 15...in all this time seen plenty come and go. Not seen one table cleaned in this time. if it wasnt for the people watching and comfy chairs I'd swerve this cafe

Lovely and spacious cafe. I do find it hard to find a spare place to sit in some cafes in Shrewsbury, but this place has plenty of room - and the layout is very cozy too, far more living room vibes than cafe. The WiFi is reliable, and there are also a few books on display, which is always refreshing and encouraging to see. The drinks are incredible, I highly recommend anything pistachio flavoured. I found the staff to be very friendly, and to take a genuine interest in their customers. Would recommend.

The coffee/treats are as all neros: nice but not for the price. However, one memeber if staff in particular, a greying haired man id guess to be late 30s? Is nothing but rude. I have been in a few times and always hurried along and talked over. I attempted 3 times to add a cake to my order, each time I said "and can I also" I was met with some loud statement about what he was doing on screen and then told to just pay followed by a snide "youre welcome" (I had said thank you already so idk why he felt the need to be snide).
