Lovely little restaurant. We are here 2 nights in a row as well stayed next door and you can see how it's won awards. Staff were very friendly, attentive and professional and there were plenty working which is always a plus as it made the service super slick and not rushed. Both curries I had on both nights were amazing the butter chicken is the best I've ever eaten anywhere we dipped our naan in it till it was done. Best chicken pakora I've had too not greasy like everywhere else and the coating was lovely and crispy all well seasoned. Next time we visit Birmingham I think we will make a spec

Having lived in Mumbai and attended university there, I am incredibly choosy about where I eat. My diet consists mostly of Indian vegetarian cuisine, so my standards are high. Basmati in Great Barr completely impressed me. The Dal Makhani was beautiful and easily the best I have ever had—rich, creamy, and authentic. The naan was massive and perfectly soft. The portions are huge, the quality is top-tier, and even as someone very picky, I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely five stars.
