On 04/02/26 at around 6:30 pm, my 70-year-old neighbour and I visited this fish bar to buy dinner. Upon entering, we were greeted by a young woman who was friendly and polite and took our order. My neighbour usually orders rock and chips, but as it was unavailable, he changed his order to cod and chips. I ordered two cod and chips and two sausages. At the time, there was only one cod ready on the counter, so the fryer—a tall, slim-built man with an accent—began preparing additional fish. One of the best around, always fresh when you sit in and such value for money. Working around London means I go to ones there but wish I never bother as it costs double and food not as good.

Take away pie and chips which had been microwaved too much, rock hard. The fish was fairly small and very wet. Batter stuck to paper and so was lost. Overall, cheap considering costs, but the negative reviews make sense. Seems to be if they like you they look after you and speak to you, otherwise they are rude.

Elite Fish & Chip shop in Welling was the perfect place for me to stop off and eat on my way from the train station to the local football ground. Lovely, freshly-cooked fish and chips in a clean, efficiently run restaurant that seems very popular with the local community. This is obviously because all the staff are so friendly and helpful. My meal on the day was just £7.50p. Very happy, thank you 😊
