So Today finally after several years of passing Number 8 and always wanting to eat there today me and My Wife finally booked a table for 2. So we parked down the side of the restaurant on the cobbles please be aware that Automatic Number Plate Recognition(ANPR) cameras are in operation if you go to Either Hamiltons or Number 8 you need to enter your car registration upon entering the restaurant to avoid any fines/enforcement. So we entered the restaurant and we were warmly greeted by i think the gentleman was the owner who showed us to our table, To drink I ordered a bottle of beer 🍺 Lucky

Been dying to come here for a long time as it’s been open several years. Did not disappoint the food and service was excellent and great value for money. The staff are so on point! Me and my mum had a fab week day meal. My only criticism is that we felt rushed in between courses. Maybe because they are just fast at service, however if this had been a weekend I could understand why! It’s not a big place but that said it was fairly quiet and once we had our food we felt relaxed and had some drinks. I honestly cannot wait to return. Great luxury atmosphere 😊 5 stars from me!!!!!

Nice food, good atmosphere but beware they add 10% service charge without warning. However if you complain they take it off your bill. We had a starter and a main meal which was nice but I refuse to pay £7.00 to be served up. It lets them down big time. Don’t be put off eating here because the foods great. Just let them know you’re not prepared to pay service charge. If your happy with their service do it the old way and leave a tip
