As the first place I tried in Albany, I gotta say, it was quite the disappointment. In hindsight, I should have gone with their sushi, but I wanted to branch out! Sigh. The service wasn't the greatest, the server didn't seem happy that I had a dietary restriction, but maybe it was just the language barrier. I ordered the Szechuan Steak, Tom Yum Soup, and a diet coke. The soda wasn't full and tasted strange. The soup was incredibly bland and watery with 2 shrimp and some thin peppers and onions. The steak itself was okay with a flavorful sauce, but the fried sweet potatoes were hard and chewy.

Ran into this beautiful gem and didn't regret it. Truly enjoyed the ambiance and food here. Food was delicious, good portion, and good cost. Staff were courteous, helpful, and friendly. Place is well decorated to give the kind of ambiance relative to the culture. Quiet, warm, and relaxing space. I'll definitely be visiting again when in the area. Highly recommended.

We were at Shogun today and had a great experience! The service was excellent — our waitress was very professional and kind. She even brought a strawberry as a little gift for our daughter, which was such a sweet gesture. The food was fresh and very tasty. They also have a full bar, and it’s kids-friendly, making it a great spot for families. Definitely recommend!
