I heard a lot of hype about Trung Nguyen’s E Coffee, so of course we had to stop by during our Houston Lunar New Year trip! It’s located in a popular plaza in Chinatown so there’s plenty of parking spaces in the lot. The inside is a bit small, but really cute and aesthetic. We went on an early Sunday morning, yet it was already packed with people! We ordered from their touch screen kiosk, but service was still nice when they gave us our drinks. We got their popular Large Iced Black Sesame Cream Phin Coffee with less ice ($7.50) and their Medium Iced Coconut Cream Phin Coffee with less ice ($6.

Coffee was sooo deep in flavour, I loved it!! server was kind enough to explain that getting their white version would be a better lower caffeine option for myself (as I didn’t want too much caffeine) and he was 100% right, the flavour was perfect without being watered down at all an the caffeine amount felt perfect without giving me the jitters. Would 11000% come back, husbands and I’s new favourite place!

Atmosphere is pretty standard for a coffee shop. The size is just about the same as a starbucks. You can either order on the tablet or at the counter. When I got there it did have a few messy tables but as soon as I was leaving the workers did start cleaning the tables. I tried the large pandan specialty coffee. I could hardly taste any pandan and only vietnamese coffee. They had a bunch of different options and a variety of blended flavors with Vietnamese coffee.

Came in and didn't know what to order. I spoke with Alex at the counter and told her I wanted something sweet. Not only did she recommend a DELICIOUS drink, but she let me sample the cream before I purchased it. Staff is very friendly and the stop is super clean. I will definitely be back!
